Country: Ghana Education: Tumu College of Education Area of Study: Education Teaching Prudence is the last born of her mom who is 71 years old. Prudence dad passed away when she was only three years old. Her mom is unable to support her to attend college due to chronic poverty. During holidays, Prudence travels to the city to sell items on the street to earn money to support her education. She is determined to become a teacher so she can empower herself and others with her education. During COVID-19 pandemic, she was sent home because she did not pay her tuition and fees. She had to go back to the street to begin selling vegetable and petty items to raise money for her tuition and fees. Without an education, she wouldn’t have the opportunity to improve her life and the lives of others in her community. We are looking for support to enable her to work herself out of poverty. We welcome and appreciate any donations and support to enable him to obtain an education that will empower him which will ultimately empower to change his life situation |
