His parents passed when he 5 years old leaving him and his younger sister at the age of two. Their disabled auntie raised them. Barnabas’s sister grew up having to marry early.  He is determined to continue his education to become a nurse, but his dream and hard work will not become a reality without financial support.   Barnabas is currently studying nursing in the Navrongo College of Nursing and Midwifery in the Upper East Region, Ghana. Sabu Help International sponsored his education to enabled her to work herself out of poverty and achieved self-independence.
