Sabu Help Scholarship is offer to outstanding underprivileged students to help them obtain an education. The scholarship amount is determined by the Sabu Help Board of Directors. Scholarship recipients will be selected by Sabu Board of Directors after review of application material. Parameters for selection include commitment to education and financial need.

- Awards may be made to senior high school and college students.
- Students must submit a writing application and all required information at any time. The award is intended to be used during the traditional academic year and for academic purposes such as tuition, fees, room, board, and/or books.
- Sabu Board of Directors reserves the right to determine if an award will be given.
- Scholarship funds are payable to educational institution(s) and recipient(s). Exceptions to this policy can be made by decision of the Sabu Board of Directors based upon individual circumstances.
- Student must be in good academic standing and be enrolled full-time.
- Student must submit a transcript from all High schools/colleges/universities attended with his/her application.
- Decisions of Sabu Board of Directors are final in all matters related to the above practices.
The criteria for the scholarship are as follows:
- Must demonstrate academic promise and performance.
- Not available to students receiving other aid.
- Must demonstrate high financial needs.
- Must demonstrate high degree of scholastic achievement and effort.
- Must submit a copy of a recent transcript
- Applicants must provide at least one letter of recommendation
- Applicants must use the scholarship to attend an accredited vocational, technical school, college or university
- Applicant must write one to two-pages, typed essay outlining his/her career goals and why the applicant should be considered for the scholarship and why it is important to receive education and this scholarship.
